Trust & Legal
These terms set the boundaries for legal requests, professional connections, accounts, and confidential marketplace activity.
Effective July 20, 2026
These Terms of Use apply when you visit lawtrader.com, submit a request or application, create or use an account, review a marketplace opportunity, or otherwise use a LawTrader service. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Additional terms may apply to a particular introduction, confidential listing, sponsored relationship, document room, nondisclosure agreement, or transaction. If additional terms conflict with these Terms, the more specific agreement controls for that activity.
LawTrader provides technology, intake, review, marketplace, and concierge functions intended to help users find a possible legal or professional path. LawTrader is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent users.
Using the service, submitting information, receiving a response, or being introduced to a professional does not create an attorney-client relationship. A relationship with an attorney begins only if you and that attorney separately agree to it. Participating attorneys and providers are responsible for their own services, advice, licensing, conflicts, fees, and professional obligations.
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. You agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and to update it when a material fact changes.
Professional users must accurately describe their identity, credentials, jurisdictions, services, and authority to act. LawTrader may request verification and may limit or deny access when information cannot be verified.
You are responsible for protecting access to your email account, sign-in links, sessions, and any controlled LawTrader workspace. Do not share a sign-in link or permit another person to use your access.
Account access does not automatically provide access to confidential listings, identities, documents, or deal rooms. Verification, agreements, and LawTrader approval may be required for each stage.
LawTrader may review, route, decline, pause, or request more information about a submission. LawTrader does not promise that a professional will be available, that an introduction will be made, or that a professional or opportunity will be suitable for a particular purpose.
You are responsible for independently evaluating any attorney, provider, listing, transaction, document, price, financing source, or other opportunity before relying on it.
Anonymized practice-sale teasers are preliminary and may omit identifying or sensitive information. You may not attempt to identify a seller, contact a party outside approved channels, share restricted information, or use information for a purpose other than the approved evaluation.
Private information may require account verification, relationship disclosures, LawTrader approval, and a separate nondisclosure agreement. Practice transitions remain subject to applicable professional rules, client obligations, licensing requirements, and the parties' independent legal, tax, and financial advice.
Some LawTrader services or professional relationships may involve fees, sponsored placement, preferred-provider terms, or other commercial arrangements. Any amount you are required to pay to LawTrader should be disclosed before you enter the applicable paid arrangement.
A sponsored or preferred relationship does not replace your own evaluation of a professional or service. Transaction structures and referral arrangements are used only where permitted and may require separate terms or professional review.
You may not misuse the service; impersonate another person; submit unlawful, misleading, or harmful material; probe or bypass access controls; scrape restricted information; interfere with operations; upload malicious code; violate another person's privacy or intellectual property; or use confidential information outside its approved purpose.
You may not use LawTrader as a public trading venue, to offer an unlawful ownership interest, or to structure a transaction that violates professional-independence, fee-sharing, licensing, or other applicable rules.
LawTrader content, branding, software, and page design are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the service for its intended purpose but may not reproduce or commercially exploit protected content without permission.
The service may link to third-party websites or depend on third-party providers. LawTrader does not control their content, availability, or practices, and their own terms and policies may apply.
LawTrader may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue a feature or a user's access when reasonably necessary for security, compliance, operations, misuse prevention, or marketplace integrity.
These Terms may be updated as the service changes. The updated date will appear on this page. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply from their effective date.
